WHAT IS THE PATHWAYS PROGRAMME?
SMJ’s Pathways Programme, tailored specifically for the Armed Forces community, is designed to help people on their journeys from military to civilian life and employment.
Offered in partnership with IBM and althaus Digital, these courses build on the security mindset, military security skills and experience gained from military service with the addition of specialist cyber security skills most in demand from employers. Participants gain valuable experience and access to employer networks, ensuring a strong foundation for their next career steps.
New for 2025, we have partnered with althaus Digital to offer an ‘Accelerated Cyber Leadership Pathway’ to help people from the Armed Forces community into cyber security management roles.

EMPLOYER PARTNERS
We are proud to cultivate strong relationships with a wide variety of outstanding employers across key industries. Trust is at the core of everything we do—it drives our collaborations and underpins our commitment to supporting both employers and candidates in achieving their goals.
One standout example of this is our partnership with Securious. Through this relationship we have successfully placed two of our Pathways candidates into full-time roles, where they continue to excel. This achievement reflects the power of trust in creating meaningful opportunities and driving shared success. Watch our video to see how our collaboration with Securious embodies these values and helps create brighter futures.
